Where Azerbaijan's job postings come from

22,016 open vacancies from 82 sources, read on 22 October 2026: which boards carry them, how little employers post themselves, and what a posting holds.

On 22 October 2026 at 17:00 UTC, softon.dev held 22,016 open job postings from 82 sources: Azerbaijani job boards, employers' own career pages, recruitment agencies and a few international boards. It has held 198,179 postings in all, so about one in nine of everything it has collected is still open.

Every figure in this post comes from one public request that needs no key. The last section shows it, so you can see how the numbers have moved since.

Ten boards carry three quarters

SourceOpen postingsShare
JobSite.az3,02913.8%
CareerA2,61511.9%
Staffy2,49211.3%
JobSearch2,1669.8%
jooble.az1,7868.1%
Djinni1,3426.1%
Remote (JobPilot)1,1335.1%
Glorri9814.5%
Smartjob8353.8%
Holo7333.3%

The first five hold 55% of every open posting, and the first ten 78%. The other 72 sources share what is left, and 42 of them hold fewer than 20 postings each. A product that reads only the largest board sees about one posting in seven. It takes five boards to see half of the market.

Few employers post on their own pages

softon.dev reads 44 employers' own career pages, banks and insurers among them. Together they hold 596 open postings, 2.7% of the total, and the largest of them, ABB's, carries 92. The 29 job boards hold 19,129, or 86.9%. The rest come from a hiring platform (Glorri, 981), four recruitment agencies (136) and four sites that republish other boards' postings (1,174, nearly all of them JobPilot's).

So if you need one particular employer, its own page is worth reading. If you need the market, the market is on the boards.

Not everything is in Azerbaijan

Two of the ten largest are international. Djinni is read as the newest twenty pages of its whole board, every country, and JobPilot is a board of remote roles. Together they hold 2,475 postings, 11% of the total. Each posting carries the country it names, so GET /v1/jobs?country=AZ keeps the ones placed in Azerbaijan.

What a posting holds

Counted over the open postings, 92.9% carry a description and 69.0% a location, and within each source no two share a URL. Location is the weak field, and it is weak in particular places: the postings from Staffy, Busy and HRIN carry no place at all, and JobSearch's carry one 45% of the time. Smartjob's are the reverse, with a place on every posting and a description on none.

These shares are published for every source, so you can decide which sources are worth reading before you write a client. A place, where a posting names one, is resolved against one vocabulary of Azerbaijani cities, which is its own story.

How fresh it is

76 of the 118 sources softon.dev has read delivered in the 24 hours before these figures were taken. 9 open postings had not been confirmed by any run for seven days. The fleet runs three times a day, at 06:00, 11:00 and 15:00 UTC, and the freshness page has the timetable.

Each source in the answer carries live_records, its open postings; records, every posting it has ever had here, closed ones included; source_type, our classification of the publisher; and quality, the three shares above. The sum of live_records is the first number in this post, as of the moment you ask.

The postings themselves are one request further: the jobs API, and its reference.
